Hey Fellas. First of all my apologies for not filling out my profile earlier, I have become a avid basscat fan from along way away and am trading up from aluminium 17ft 6inch boat that has served me well but i am weeks away from joining the basscat family and am looking forward to it . I have purchased a pantera iv and it will be the first in Australia. i know this boat will blow me away and have no real information on the ability level to drive this boat at its potential, I have driven other U.S bass boats before but i do know this will be something else again. The boat is to have a 200 ho on it. If possible your help during this time would be appreciated. I would also like to thank the team at the factory for there efforts to get the boat to L.A on time.Cheers Simmo.

billius, we have no idea how many are down under. Though we are aware of about 6 boats in the Australia market overall. A couple were used rigs imported.

Billius.There are five i know of. 3 sabres ,1 cougar and my piv to come and the cougar is the only tournie guy that is regular on the comp scene,Wayne reed has won a couple of tournies and is a accomplished comp fisho. He reguarly talks about topping the 80 mile an hour mark.I had a 55mile an hour aluminium boat and am happy to move slowly towards the piv,s capabilities. Thankyou once again for your responses and i know i will need your help in the future.

Samrush. None were i live and none were the comps are run thankgod because they dont care who or what you are they just eat. A few of the of the California pros have come over for the Barramundi fishing and they got to play in croc country, they said it was a bit hairy because when you catch a fish , they want it.
