Topic: Fuel saga continued need help

I posted last week my 05 puma with 225 etec starving out when on rear tank. just checked all the lines going to the valve and tanks they are in good shape can blow air through them. I placed valve in both main and rear settings and can blow air through them. However when on the main can pump bulb and get fuel to flow on the rear tank I cannot. What do you guys think the valve or maybe a pick up in the tank? is there a pickup in both rear tanks or just one? I find it strange I can blow air into the tanks and watch then expand but cant get gas to flow? Last question are these valves pretty universal and I can find them pretty easy. thnx for the help..I am baffled.

Both rear tanks have pickups and we suspect many things, like a cracked pickup tube though you should pull air through the line then. A pickup tube may have gotten dislodged also. We would start at the actual pickup tube fittings coming out at 90 degrees and go from there. BCB

curious if one pick became dislodged wouldnt i still be able to draw fuel from the other rear tank? You dont suspect the valve at all? thnx for the help.

when accessing the pick up tube I assume it is directly attached to the 90 fitting at the top of the tank?

That is correct and you could not draw as air would prevent this.
