Just got off the phone with NOCO about my charger. This is the second charger that I am having issues with. The first one destroyed a battery and I had to replace it but did not complain and chalked it up as par for the course. After an on phone troubleshooting procedure it was determined that I indeed have a bad charger again. They stated that they did not want to be the weak link in BassCats customer service program. The issue is that they are requiring me to send in the old charger prior to sending out a new one. I asked why and they said because customers are not sending the bad ones back. Now I will have to wait several weeks before I can get one. Kinda sucks being that this is a warranty item on an 09 boat huh? Well I guess that they have just moved up the list (if there ever was one) as a weak link for BCB customer service.Last edited by barkerg on December 28th, 2010, 12:52 am, edited 2 times in total.
Unfortunately everyone here knows our opinion on battery chargers, though NOCO has actually tried to step up their service. BCB
I understand, I just feel that this is a punishment that will take at least 3 weeks to render. I am used to the BCB way of life and this comes as a shocker. Oh well, Ill shut up and color.
They replaced a mine after I had two batteries fried. First diagnostic was wrong. I had to pay for the two new batteries but they did replace their defective unit. Still sucks.http://www.vrbo.com/297770
I have had Dual Pros in my last 3 boats all with excellent performance and results. I have always used their charge on the run series and have never had a dead battery. Any time I have contacted the factory with questions, I have gotten nothing but great service. You can check them out here: http://www.dualpro.com/products/chargeontherun/
Dual Pro chargers will work fine for most in your home setting, though in low voltage or line drop from extension cords they do not. At 98 volts they charged appx. 1/2 amp per hour in testing up to 105 volts. This is very possible in tournament situations.
I say quit puttin them in boats at all. I havent had one in my 09 ftd and havent missed it at all. 260 engine hours in 2 years- not like I dont use it.4 bank big daddy minkota with clips has worked quite well for me. I would have taken a Lester as a trade for an on board in a heartbeat.Last edited by clownshoes on December 28th, 2010, 4:50 am, edited 1 time in total.C.O.D. Jr. III

They are not subjected to moisture and vibration that seem to be a portion of those failures.
Call NOCO customer service, ask if you do the following: will they send out your new unit within 24 hours with the following conditions: Send the unit in by FedEx ( or UPS or USPS) second day, purchase a return label/postage place it in with your unit. Again, confirm with someone at NOCO ( get a name/#) before you spend any $$. Cant speak for NOCO, but have used this method when I absolutely had to have quick turn around on parts for my sons business.
