took my new to me 1993 basscat pantera out first time. when under power seems like a clutch slipping in a car. the motor races but boat seems to lose power and speed. it goes away if i back out of throttle . any help. this is my first boat. THANKS.
Without more info. this is a tough one, but sounds like a spun hub in the prop, or cavitation from being too high on the transom, or prop damage ? More than likely a spun hub !??? Get a dealer to inspect, D.
