I have a 98 Jaguar with the old BP 101 dash, and the voltage reading on the dash is generally about 1 volt lower than the actual battery reading I get from a volt meter testing the battery directly? Is there any way to fix or calibrate the console voltage meter? The main problem is that the system shuts down pumps and some other non-essential items when it reads less than 11 volts in order to preserve starting power. I would appreciate any advice or answers. Thanks.
It is corrosion and other issues on the main harness line or the terminal block from the battery to transom and dash. You are only getting 11 volts at the dash as that is unable to be adjusted and will not lie. That is your issue, corrosion or connections. BCB
Thanks BCB. I guess I cant disable the auto shut off of the other things either even though I am not really low on voltage and can see good voltage on another meter, like my humminbird. If Im wrong about that, please let me know. Thanks.
Yes, something is dropping voltage to or through the unit. They are internally programmed and resetting is not possible. Please check all of your connections.
