Congratulations Little Rock,,,,,,,,, we made the top ten most dangerous cities in the country,,,,Memphis is #5 !And yall wonder why i act paranoid ? Tornados, floods, and now this. http://www.magnetmail.net…_form_action_247WALL.cfm target=_top> 7. Little Rock, Arkansas> Population: 192,922> Violent Crime Per 1,000: 15.2> 2010 Murders: 25> Median Income: $38,992 (22.3% below national average)> Unemployment Rate: 6.8% (2.2% below national average)Little Rock has one of the highest rates of aggravated assault and forcible rape in the country. Since 2009, reported assaults has increased while reported forcible rapes have decreased. According to Lt. Terry Hastings of the Little Rock Police Department, quoted by local station FOX16, Little Rock was “down almost 12 percent across the board on crime” in 2010. This may be accurate for many crimes, and especially nonviolent crimes, however, according to FBI data, violent crime increased from 2009 to 2010.Read more: The Most Dangerous Cities In America – 24/7 Wall St. http://247wallst.com/2011/05/24/the-mos … z1NHPit58T
DOUG,,,MOVING A LITTLE NORTH WOULD PROBABLY CURE THAT….JUST A LITTLE NORTH.. GARY GOULD NORTH….Last edited by Tideman on May 24th, 2011, 8:10 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Missoula County Montana: homicides: avg 1-2 per year, crime rate 3.72 per 1000, unemployment 8%, average annual temperature 44.3 degrees. Maybe its too cold up here to be stealin, rapin and killin.
HAHHAHAHA….I live 20 miles from #10 and 20 miles from #6……In the heart of the CA Delta. Wouldnt trade it for anything.
Come on up to good ole St. Louis, MO. Its #3 on this list.
I will never forget getting stuck at the St Louis bus station winter of 77. I went to the armed services entry station to take my asvab test.I had to sleep in the station overnight because a winter snow storm shut transportation down. I was an 18 year old blond boy right off the farm.During the daylight hours St Louis is fine. When the sun goes down, the city becomes a different world. Just like that it became “dark”.The snow storm was driving junkies and homeless people off the streets into the station. They tried to sleep in the station and some tried to hide in phone booths. The drug dealers had their stores set up in the lockers in the station. The whole area was seedy. Strip clubs were just down the street. A guy sat next to me and tried to get friendly. To this day I don’t let myself get caught in a big city when the sun goes down. I just dont feel like I am in America. Some areas dont even speak english.I would rather be in Baghdad.
The sad thing is Tim that Little Rock is small enough we could “take our city back” if we desired to,,,,,,just too many bleedin heart types here(seat of govt. for county, state, fed.) to allow this to happen. And might require violating someones rights.
Its better to violate their rights, than it is to have them violate someones body.
My wife and I are having second thoughts about relocating to warmer regions full time. NY and the NE is starting to look a whole lot better. Taxes are crazy but most areas are very safe. Maybe we will be snow birds like so many others. Its rare we have dangerous storms (compared to hurricanes, tornados, floods,) Grass aint always greener I guess.

GARY GOULD NORTH….North Little Rock/Sherwood not on that list!………..yet Something about that river….it does weird things to people. Ive got patients that will not cross over to Little Rock for any reason, even for their healthcare….and vice versa, our Little Rock patients do not want anything to do with North Little Rock…….Heck, Im not in the OFG and I dont care to go to LR for anything, except boat shows or Tournament weigh ins. 96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
