Good Morning all. As you can read by the title, I am hosting a fishing clinic for mentally challenged kids ages 5-16. This event will be held August 3 and will be an all day event. I would like to impress the kids with maybe a prostaffer to come assist me doing this. I will be teacher the kids about different styles/types of fishing, knot tieing, different rods and reels selections, baits, etc. I am also bringing my boat and will teach boater safety and the different parts of a boat. Also, if there is anyone out there that would like to donate anything at all that I could use as a giveaway to the kids, that would be very VERY appreciative. All that I am doing is out of pocket and I could really use some help. Please holler at me on here or request my number if you would like to assist in any way possible. Michael, you have some excellent folks in that area between Mount Ida and Hot Springs. We would think the caliber of angler you get is really from top to bottom for any pro staff. Cochran, Davis, Aubrey Johnson, Ashcraft, Sheffield, Green, and more. There are excellent guides There too gather Hugh Albright up as he would be great with the kids. Then you have regional anglers that really are great guys in that area. You may even get Mr. Murray to come and that would be good to. The skys yours where you live.

I emailed George last week. I am going to see if I can contact Mark or Al today. This project was just put on me last Friday, so I am having to get this ready and contact people in a short amount of time.

Thank you to all that has donated what you have to my Fishing Clinic for mentally challenged kids. So far I have gotten some really nice items. I am so greatfull to what you guys have done. Im still waiting for reply from a pro staff, but maybe I can get one pretty quick. These kids will be tickled to see all that they will be given this year. Understand that these kids are from broken, drugs, abusive and unstable homes. They do not get the operatunity as we do to fish or enjoy any part of the outdoors. I have stocked ponds on my property that I will take a bus load to and let them have a derby and picnic. The gifts that all you sponsers provide is probably one of the greatest gifts they ever recieve. God bless to all that has given and again THANK YOU!!…

Update on progress for these kids. I have gotten Mark Davis and Hugh Albright as special guest speakers. I also have a AG&F officer coming to speak about boater safety and rules/laws of the water and fishing.

Fishing clinic for the kids here in Hot Springs was a success. Mark Davis gave the kids autographed hats and gave a remarkable spach. The kids really loved looking at mine and AG&Fs Bass Cats. Deputy Kenny Taylor got a great responce from the kids when he discussed boater safety and fishing laws. I wish I had a person taking pictures so I could post them on here to share. A BIG thanks to all who sponsored.
