I read the article in Leatherneck magazine a few months ago. He is a True Hero and the Epitome of a Marine! The article talks of a superior ranked individual that wouldnt help or back him up and the choice words he said to the individual, before heading back into the fight to save more lives and recover more fallen Marines.

I agree with the Marine that he felt he was just doing his job by going in to protect his fellow service members and others. This would be true with any branch of the service in that situation. Thats what we were trained to do. We were swarne by oath to serve and protect our country and the lives of others. Thanks to all who are and have served to protect the freedom that we have in this country.USMC

I read the LA Times article that describes the ceremony and the actions by Sgt. Meyer. The article is great and I would commend it to you and your families.While Im not a political supporter of the President, this is certainly the most presidential thing he does.http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washing … meyer.html

His parents did well rearing him and deserve a pat on the back too!The Corps polished and honed to perfection what his parents practiced.I love the song by Trace Adkins; and she thinks were “just fishin…”Parents teach your children well!And dont carry large amounts cash in your pocket at the boat ramp (oops did I say that?)
