Buddy and I took the new Puma FTD w/250 Merc ProXS to the lake last weekend to run through the Merc Owners Manual break in for the outboard….They recommend: “after a 30 to 60 second warm up, run between 4000 and 5400 RPMs for the first hour, changing speed every 2 minutes and have trim all the way down for the break in period.” At 4800 to 4900 RPMs and the trim all the way down, the hot foot is at full throttle. The only way I could reach 5300 to 5400 RPMs was to bump the tilt up a couple of times. Does this sound about right or is my HOT Foot out of adjustment? Thanks for the feedback, as Im pretty new to Bass Cat boats and Merc Motors. John W.
