These Lake Norfork images have already produced dozens of calls to BCB concerning our plans on the Invitational event. We have a long time till May 20 & 21. In the 24 year history of the Invitational we have never canceled the event. We did cancel one day during a horrendous Ice Storm that left most participants stranded in Mountain Home for up to 6 days. The event has several options, while Wilderness Point is no longer in operation, we do have other options and we will cooperate with the USACofE to work around the water levels and conditions at that time. We do not know what those may be, though by the end of May we usually are failry warm and in better weather conditions. This was the only other open week open for the Invitational, and no doubt it would have presented challenges for some this weekend. We have an excellent level of cooperation from the Corp, and we see no reason that this event wont go off pending the participation level is acceptable. Which it always has been a good number. For now, all systems are go! Rick PierceLast edited by Rick Pierce on April 27th, 2011, 11:58 pm, edited 1 time in total.
