Topic: How hard is it to re-carpet one of the rear boxes….

on my Cougar FTD. My team partner left 3 bananas in it last November which I found when I headed to FL a couple of weeks ago. That will teach me not to check all of the compartments after every event. Ive tried everything I can think of to remove the smell, so Im also open to suggestions on that.

Well, it is a pretty good job. Though within the abilities of most. The removal of carpeting is the hardest part. We would think there would be a way to remove the smell somehow. Since that is a plastic fiber with a basic rubber backing there must be a way. How about a bleach solution soaking that area or the box and removing the water. Then air drying the box. BCB

I was afraid that the bleach would remove some color from the carpet. How much bleach would you suggest.

We would try a 10% mixture first and the carpet should withstand the bleach as it is a plastic fiber from a polyolefin product.

News paper! It takes fish odor from livewells and ice chests……..its worth a try.

Sams Club sells a product called “odo ban” works great on pet odors. Might work 4 u.

50/50 simple green water solution. let it soak for ten minutes, shopvac out. works every timebasscat24
