Hydrodynamic of m2 much diff than L2, L1, or Mag case. Id get another L2 case. In the 250 it meant goin from 1.71 gears to 1.85 gears so it was a HUGE change. If the ratio is the same the pitch should stay comparable . The raker blew out to easy for me on the m2 case . The fury was decent all around . On a 250 L2 1.70 went from 25 fury no problem all year – M2 1.86 27 fury and later 27 razor 3 which I preferred it had a little better top end with a load and handling . I still have that prop if you think it would turn it I would be glad to part with it ?

I had the same issue on a 2007 225HO. I found a super cheap used magnum. It blew out horribly. Had some cup added to prop (28Raker). That helped a lot. It doesnt perform nearly as well as the Lightning case. I now run a Fury 26 with that unit on my Cougar. Hole shot has improved by double I would say. Still hit 5750-5850 RPM as with the Raker. In my opinion, if you can find an L2 get that. I would if I were doing it again. But the price was too different.

Yep ! No problem . I would try and stick with a L2 if it were an option as well , unless you are going to play in the grass . I never could get that thing to mow through hydrilla.
