BASSMASTER does not have enough Co-Anglers for the Northern Open Tournaments. The first of these is on Lake Champlain. When Ive fished there its not a question of if you get a limit — its a question the size of the limit. Ive entered all of Northern Opens and Im not in untill BASS has enough Co-Anglers that it becomes my turn to get one. The tournament is in July. The second of the Northern Opens is on the Detroit River and includes Lake St. Clair and Lake Erie as well. Here again, every time I have fished here its not a question of if you catch a limit but how much the limit weights. I am in this one. This tournament is in August.The third and final tournament of the BASSMASTER Northern Opens is on the Chesapeake Bay. I was stationed at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in 1967 but did not fish here.
