Tire Pressure Question

I have a 2015 dual axle trailer and the max pressure reads 80 psi, should have 80 psi in these tires? They are Trailer King tires.

No. The manufacture of your tire will have a psi chart that corresponds to your carrying load. Weigh each axle and reference the chart. 80 psi is the maximum your tire requires to carry the maximum load capacity of your tire. I doubt you are carrying anywhere near the maximum carrying capacity when considering you are carrying it on four tires.

YES! 80 psi. BassCat has always stated to max out trailer tires. And these are “trailer” ST tires.I posted this same question regarding QC at the factory a month or so ago and never got a response. When I picked up my new replacement trailer last year at the dealer I had assumed they were inflated properly. Nope, 44psi. On this one we would not max them out, though try running around 50 PSI

Is the change from previous position of maxing out the pressure based on the tandem axle or has this changed across the board for all applications on BassCat trailers? Used to be max whether single or tandem axles… Just trying to figure out what my tire pressure should be now, 44, 50, or 80 psi? Mine is single axle 2015 trailer.96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner

We feel 50 PSI is a good max and this particular tire, as well as another one, is rated higher on max pressure. We do still suggest that other tires are maxed out.

I think trailer tires pull far better than passenger tires.

Dont get me on a rant, wont take much. Another Master Craft blow out for me today, just got home from LOZ. Two blow outs in 9 months. 100 degrees today and Im beside the highway changing a tire.
