As Phil mentioned, we have been very fortunate this year. We are up a few points from the previous year and remain working our way into summer. We plan our regular Slow week prior to a week of Vacation the first week of July. Our present level is just a fidget above the past seasons this time of year. In the statement Phil speaks of we mentioned that the bass boat market was not as effected as other boating markets. While it has been effected some recently, it was solid and off less than other markets prior to that. Some of our competition seems to have been effected just recently. We slowed some to that tic above those previous summers, spoken of above. There are some companies and some markets more effected. One recreational builder was off drastically, and Florida is bleeding as are parts of California. Southern economies seem stronger as does indiscretionate income availability. Our belt of focus is not hurt as bad as other areas. Though some competitors still are off more within that region. Pockets of strength and weakness do exist within those markets as well. We would say weak housing markets indicate weak boat markets as a whole. Going into summer our inventory is in good shape, with a few exceptions it is lower than the past five years also. Those with excess inventory probably have another compounding factor from what we have seen. There are five or six dealers in question on that inventory and we got our most recent dating report yesterday. If the dealership has non current inventory it is a concern. Those programs to offer rebates on that inventory are still applying. Without trying or wanting to seem expressive or smug, we really have been fortunate this season. We offered a huge Thank You then and we still owe you all a debt of gratitude. As with any dealership and entreprenuer relationship, there will be changes in the outlets, stores and dealerships. We have made two rotations, one closure, one withdrawal and opened a few new dealerships as well. We will see more also. Though this is not only due to the present economic situation. It is also due to weaknesses within businesses. Again Thank You to all of you for the little things you do within our family and the assistance you all bring to us and our dealerships. We have been blessed and we dont want it to seem we take it lightly. Sincerely, BCBLast edited by Bass Cat Boats on June 4th, 2008, 2:55 am, edited 2 times in total.
