SmartCraft fuel guage

Went out and had a stereo installed.When I took her out on the water I had noticed that the fuel gauge was not working(showing no fuel).I have reset the master to no avail.I know the main battery was probably discod.Is that normal for the gauge to show no fuel after battery disco or am I lookin at another problem(float,switch,etc)?I have a full main tank of fuel……Thanks in advance….

Its possible that the hard reset removed the calibrations that were already set for the fuel gauge. Here is a link to the manual/PDF for the SmartCraft 1000. There is a very detailed section around page 30 that shows how to re- calibrate. It looks like there is a simple way, and a very complicated way to set the levels. Sounds like the sender wires may have become dislodged in the install.
