Welp, trucked up to Lake Livingston to get some vacation time during Spring Break and took the Puma FTD along.Got it in the water today and went to do some fishing after navigating through the Jungle area just south of the 356 bridge. Lotta stumps, downfalls, stobs, stumps, and stickups everywhere. When I hit some clear spots north of 356 on the way back, I decided to get some practice on driving through the chine walk and see what 70 felt like. Whoooooooooo!!!! 55-no big deal. 65 – kinda moving. 70-didnt know how fast I was going until I unpuckered my butt from the seat and my jawbone stopped flapping in the wind. I was slowing down when I glanced at the speedometer and saw 72 for a split second as I was hauling down. Whatafreakingrush!!!! Had to climb all over the steering wheel to maintain control due to really choopy water with the wind blowing like it was. But man, going over 1 – 1 1/2 foot chop at 70+, wiuhtout hitting a WOT, I think my boat will really move on smoother water where Im more familiar with stump locations. Freaking awesome handling on very choppy water at 70-something mph! Whoop!I did manage to get one bite off of a point in about 6 ft. of water, 67F, jig & craw worm, right when it hit the water. I was about 50 yards from the river channel and 35 of water. No fish though, I think the sucker spit out the craw as soon as it inhaled it. -No other bites, but going over 70, while raising my hair and getting a case of pucker going that fast, was fun! Yeeeeeee-hhhaaawww!!!!!!!!!!Your Signature …
