Will the cover for a Mercury Optimax 3.0 fit on a 250 Verado? reason im asking is because i ordered the optimax by mistake but when i called and spoke to Alan (who was very nice and helpful!) to change it to the verado was told thats what BCB is sending out for both motors, just seems like it wont fit because of how the cowlings are different shapes.

They should know what they are talking about but Id be a bit surprised if it fits correctly.
