It seems that most people run a 25 Fury 3 blade on your P2s. Can you tell me what RPMs you are seeing at WOT? Do any of you run a 24 Fury 3 on yours? Can you tell me what RPMs you are seeing at WOT? Do any of you run a 24 Fury 4 blade on yours and would you tell me what RPMs you are seeing at WOT? My style of operating my new P2 including how its loaded and how I drive it seems to have my RPMs on the low side of where I think they should be and am considering going from a 25 pitch to 24 pitch and am looking for information to help me decide between the 24 Fury 3 blade or 4 blade. Thanks in advance.
Whats your prop to pad?I noticed a change of ~500 rpm by dropping my motor to 3″ (from 2″) when I put a 25 Fury on.
I have a 2017 p2 200 running fury 25 @ 5600 in the summer with 2 people 1/2 fuel about 71.5 gps ? I only have 15 hrs on this motor. Just seems like it takes this boat a while to get there. Ive also ran a trophy 24.5 it seem to do a good job only its just a little slower 69 gps
First off i will start saying im no speed by far. The 13 model i have is definitly different from my original 88 caracal i owned for 25 yrs or so in way the nose flys. My 13 model seems to run flat. My p2 seems to run around 5650 to 5700 rpms at wot. I do have the atlas plate set anywhere from 3 to 5 on the digital gauge. Even at that i believe i still could come up on the motor. I will say i let ronnie work his magic and it definitly improved my midrange lift. I run the 25 fury but have considered the fury 4 just because of the midrange it has. Dont get me wrong the one or 2 times a trip i do air her out the best ive seen is 71.3. Though the guy i purchased from tells me there is definitly a little bit left. Im fine with it the way it is. When i get to the water i go to fish and not run up and down the river. Besides my wife is my partner and would never forgive myself if i ever hurt one of us by just pushing the limits. I will admit my p2 seems slow getting to top speed as well. I have talked to a few other bcb owners that has made a few suggestions about improving that.

It seems to me 5600 at 71.5 is also running low RPM. Mine is similar but a tad lower.

Maybe at 3/16″ above level on the manual JP is not right. Another P2 owner that I respect says 1/4″ above level is max height for running. I had it there and thats when I lowered it a tad to see the difference. I had an “expert” run my boat and he achieved 74 MPH at only 5700 RPMs. That sounds better but I wont be running at that speed. So if I stay 70 mph max and only turn 5400 RPMs then I would think my motor would be better off with a 24 Fury to allow it to run in the power range. At least thats my thinking.
I too would try a 24 cause not a speed demon no more. Sometimes you can gain a little by being faster out of the hole

I like the way it drives, rides and handles. I had a Classic before this one and there is a noticable difference. By the way, if you have a manual JP, what is your measurement difference between the inside plate and the outside?
About 3/16
