I would like to introduce you to Dave, the new owner of my 2011 Cougar FTD. He drove all the way from South Dakota to check out the boat a month ago (mostly to see if he would fit). And his 6 7″ frame does fit !!!! We had a few details to finalize the deal, and we met at Lake Okoboji to make the transfer. I also wanted to show him the ropes on some of the details of the boat. It was a perfect day, very little wind, so definitely was able to air the old girl out and take it through the paces. Managed 77mph with the both of us that day. After that I looked over and saw a big smile from Dave. One funny detail, after turning over the drivers seat to Dave he started getting a feel for the trim etc. Then all of a sudden the engine acted like it began to miss, I thought OH NO, I keep the boat maintained meticulously, what could possibly be wrong ??!!?? So he stopped and I took over again, boat ran perfect !!! So Im thinking Hmmmm lets let him try again, and sure enough it starts to miss. Then the light went off….I looked at the gas gauge…..Okay were out of gas !!!! Flipped the tanks and low and behold problem fixed. Funny these Mercs do run better with gas . Very glad Dave is the new owner, he is a great guy, and now I have another reason to go chase smallies in South Dakota !!!!Welcome Dave !!!! Congrats Dave !!!! (now the wait begins for my new boat) ugh !!!!!Bill
