The new Pantera Classic has my attention. Cant wait to see this one. 195″ boat, 150-200 Etec G2… Sounds like perfect retirement boat for this getting older bird but in the best shape of my life. BassCat trailer comments, Hmmm…… Tick, tock waiting for the Classic Clock alarm to go off! Getting closer to my business development goals but not quite there yet. Trust me Ill be back in a BassCat and this could be that boat. I bought a Kayak, hope to use it in 2017, sigh. Ive had it for 2 months but doing so much travel I havent been out yet. Plus to cold to go fast anymore. LOL….. Boy did I have fun dialing in BassCat boats this time of the year. Most fun Ive ever had owning a bass boat was pushing my first BassCat Sabre to its limit. Froze my arse off having fun doing it too. Hope to yak it this weekend. Never kayaked before. LOL, I hope tip over….. Flyswatter.
Any time on the water is good. Fantastic to hear from you again. Whackem in the yak!.
Good to see you light up the board again Flyswatter. BCB
From another post:The Pantera Classic is a really nice boat in the new design. We definitely are pushing midnight oil getting ready for Houston and we dont know enough details about the operation completed yet. The hull was water run and it is a new hull. The price is very friendly with a 150 HP engine and they are shooting at rigging this standard with 150 engines, and the 200 is available. The deck design is a different thought and the build is a unique build also. They have put a lot of thought into the rig. The parts are all built, including all boxes. After final assembly is evaluated post Classic, then they tweak what they find and production will begin. There is no lag time on release on the Pantera Classic and it is a definite nice boat. The deck is wide like a Margay and the front deck layout make access to your rods and tackle handy. The rear deck is a nice deck with large storages, and fuel is around 30 gallons plus. They are trying to keep this all within price for those interested. The trailer is something a bit unique, and they are holding that information for the Classic.Of course there is always something we all want to change and this boat will be no different. BCB
Glad to hear you are alive and kickin Tom. Get yourself back into a Cat soon!
19.5 and standard with 150? Is the hull that light or that efficient?
They showed the new Pantera Classic to the Bass Boat Central Rally anglers on a tour this evening. There were no images taken. BCB

I didnt start with a BassCat but by god I will end with one and legacy it to my son. BassCat can you rig this boat with the new smaller block G2s (Up to 200HP)?I did get out yesterday in a Kayak. OMG, 57° water temps. It was fun but now not having the balance like I used to I did have a bit of a mummy in its tomb experience. I moved very carefully. LOL . Man was it fun to wet a line. Thanks to all for your kind comments. I dont give a damn and trust me when I get into another Cat I will dial that sucker in. I love that part of my boating experience. Im so curious about this Pantera Classic, its trailer, and if the console can take at a 9″ or 10″ graph. BassCat thanks for thinking outside the cookie cutter box with this one. Thinking about a market thats younger but includes guys like me that is thinking outside the box. Garage storage space very smart too. As for deck size width: I love how people get centric to deck size and not factor the gunnels. Rick you be a wise, wise man. You are a true innovator in a world Bass Boat Cokes. I like to see a bit of Dr. Pepper out there and I bet you have done just that. Cant wait to see that energy you have exhausted when its released to the public at the end of the week.BassCat Strong! I can thank my son in-law for keeping me engaged with fishing. He talked me into getting this Kayak. Not sure when Ill get out again but yesterday was fun paddling end to end on this 85 acre lake.Last edited by Flyswatter on March 20th, 2017, 9:49 pm, edited 1 time in total.
