Topic: Lighted Handrail Problem

I am sure this is a simple problem but here it is. I have an 05 puma and the lighted handrails have stopped working. Everything else on the boat works fine. Where should i look first?

Check to make sure youre getting power to the lights. I would check behind the A10 panel. Getting to the lights on the handrails may be a little difficult for your model. I think you may have to pull the seat pan. Good luck!.

Thanks i was afraid of that. The lights are run directly from the accessory right?

Yes, check the wire from the accessory button.

ok guys, i just pulled the panel off and now which wire leading from the universal plug is the accessory wire?

I pulled the plug from the a10 panel and used a jumper to test the accessory wire. The lights works when i use a jumper so now the problem is isolated to the panel. Now what? Do these panels go out often? could it simply be the individual pin that goes to the accessory?

Get with your dealer or service ([email protected]) tomorrow and I am sure either will tell you what the next step is. The A10 dashes have been very dependable historically so no they dont go out often at all. Good luck. Judd Lasiter

We dont think its a panel, more likely a loose connection.
