I have my own idea per my pocket book what is the perfect BassCat realizing what the Mtn. Home folks are offering now is close to perfection. However, the potential boat buyer is more fickle then ever in and outside the BassCat customer circle. Competition is good and there are lots of great options out there. I know BassCat respects and appreciates that. Adapting to an ever changing market with maturing consumers, perceptions and expectations demand quicker responses from boat builders. BassCat has responded to not only the current “family” but also shooting a flare to alert, educate and inform non BassCat owners you can have industry gold standard customer service, boating performance and perceived fishability (better) comfort with a wide deck Caracal. Finding that price point sweet spot is in the hands of BassCat and will see how this plays out. In a matter of 18 months what was once thought motors dictating simplicity with 150, 200 and 250 motors now has morphed boat designs specific to 225 motors. What a crazy roller coster response for bass boat builders. Also, wider decks love them or hate them is now becoming a new must have criteria for boat owners in the industry. No denying its alluring. What a great next step and response with the Caracal. Signs: Not asking for a timeline. The Caracal press ink is still not fully dry but with time to reflect and sitting on the sidelines for a while longer Im curious to future BassCat designs up and down the lineup. Will there be company shift toward wider deck designs. The Caracal is a beautifully designed boat and just learned BassCat reduced dealer meeting weight by almost 200lbs. Impressive. Gotta say the boating future is in a constant state of flux. Im sure adapting never stops for boat builders. IMO peering ahead I can see how alliances from motors to electronics will create closer partnerships to help offset cost beyond the resin. What I do know Rick and crew will navigate innovation to keep the pride strong. BassCat strong!Fly
Fly, youve been hiding under a moon rock we see. nice to have you back on the planet! BCB
Oh! And the next direction will surprise everyone!
Do I need to hold off on my order to see whats next? Pro-Tec Productswww.protecproducts.com
Anything short of a party barge would surprise me, other than that,,,,, nah !!!Houseboat ? I could use one of those !
One of my all time favorite of all boats is the Puma; however, a Puma with a wider deck at the front bicycle seat would be just incredible. A wider front deck is the only thing I could imagine that would improve the Puma. I know that a little wider front deck would adversely impact speed, but it would also make it easier to maneuver around the front bicycle seat with rods strapped to the front deck. With or without a wider front deck, I really love that Bass Cat Puma!Corky

If you see something you like get it. Its a tough to reason at times but the whole BassCat lineup is dyanamic from the boat dock, setting the hook and back on the trailer at the end of they day.Ive owned Sabre, SabreFTD, PIV and Eyra and would get any of them in a heart beat. I really am drooling of over the prospect of another Sabre/SabreFTD with a 175 SHO. That would be the close to holy grail for me. Fast, nimble, great rough water ride, fourstroke engine and Ive put my biggest sacks ever in that dang 18er…. Good karma…. As for fast to wet your paints thrills the Eyra is freaking awesome. I gotta go catch a plane. Visiting this site is dangerous. Peace out! FlyLast edited by Flyswatter on October 21st, 2014, 9:36 am, edited 1 time in total.

Only makes since for all of us who really want a great bat that can fish big waters and small waters and still do 65 plus and have storage and space. May be wrong but seems to me that cost is really playing havic on many of us. I will say whatever it is i am sure it will be elite!! Or i got one. What if Bass Cat purchases either the Champion molds and name brand.. Now that would be a shocker!!Last edited by monte1 on October 21st, 2014, 12:34 am, edited 1 time in total.
