From Bass Cat:”While traveling to and from the Owners Invitational we paid special attention to motor toters. Yesterday was easy as there were dozens of boats on the road in all brands. Those with full toters of any style or brand were sitting nicely without movement. Those with ram sticks or H frame toters were moving quite a bit, especially at every bridge or asphalt issue. Pot holes or road bumps alone made one brand engine jump tremendously. We wanted to video the one engine brand and thought better of it. Though the conversation will be had with them as the toter in use was the approved brand for that engine, by their service team. We remain firmly convinced of the necessary use of a full transom saver, especially the style Lou has, to support the engine, transom and prevent motor mount damage, as well as increased steering wear. This policy BCB has implemented for decades and following many boats homeand to Ryburn of all brands only further confirms our findings. Last Edited By: Bass Cat Boats Apr 5 15 11:47 PM. Its their transom and while its the strongest in the industry, if they suggest the full length, thats what I use, even on a 20 year old boat. 96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
