Puma FTD question for BCB

There actually is no wasted space in the Puma FTD and Cougar FTD either, just a bit different for various reasons. They are tight to the livewells. We understand the box configuration being larger on the Lynx has to do with the new lid design similar to the Caracal. We dont know what they do with those models going forwards.BCB

The boxes outside the deck are as deep as possible with flat bottoms. They literally are almost touching the hull.

We never know what direction the Puma FTD and Cougar FTD take down the road. There is no doubt they have invested a tremendous amount if development time in those hulls to get the performance they have. Those are about as peaked out as any boat can be on performance. Only a diet would improve their performance much. They are virtually blueprinted hulls, sharpened chines and have lifted flows for all they can get. There will not be an end of model cycle for those models in the near future. Which means we could redesign those boats and integrate some of the Lynx features into them. We doubt the tapered rod box will evolve as they are tight on room in the bow. They have a model plan running out 6 years and while it may change we definitely need to let the first 18 months flow to determine where those head. The Caracal and Eyra are step models for BCB and we think those will continue to be stepping stones towards the future designs. One thing most everyone missed onthe Lynx was the area tucked between the Livewell and rear storage for the power pole pumps. They intend to us an access panel above those to easily program and fill power pole pumps. The access will be hidden behind the tapered storage lid.
