One thing we used to do when running to El Golfo to hang out on the beach was always keep some loose change handy in the cab to give a quarter to every “charity” along the way. Also in case the federales had a check point setup we would leave some cash loose in the cab. Not a lot. Just like $20. Somehow I always seemed to have misplaced it after they got done searching my vehicle. I usually keep a couple 20s in my wallet too, but my main cash is kept loose in a different pocket.
