Hello BCB, I have seen many questions about boat covers, especially the pricey Sunbrella by Aurora. My boat is a 2013 Eyra, Minnkota 101 Fortrex, 52″ shaft, single console. I can tell that a lot of time and attention to detail was spent customizing this cover to my boat. The very front where the trolling motor sits (MinnKotas have a huge signature) there is added padding so that the trolling motor does not get rub burn as well as preventing tears. I have a HB 998 ram mounted up front and there is no need for removal when covered. The cover is very well crafted all the way to the console again extra material for the windshield. Any part of the boat that is sharp or can tear was accounted for to include the boarding ladder. The straps are ratchet style and will be connected to your jack plate. I have tried connecting them together but this made the cover ride to high on the motor. The fitment is very tight which keeps the rub marks from the wind while traveling non existent. I suggest that when the cover is first used, tighten it down wait a day and it will stretch and fit your boat like a glove, then retighten. It is fully water resistant for sure and as mentioned very easy to put on, my best time is about 7 mins. You will be very surprised at how light weight it is and the quality of the inside material is like suede. The only feature I do not like is the ratchets, they are high quality items but, you must be careful about throwing the cover on the boat. The hooks are rubber coated but the actual ratchet itself is not and can and will chip the gel coat, this only applies when the cover is being placed on the boat and removal. If you have any questions feel free to contact me on the forum. I am in no way promoting or advertising this item, FYI only, as these are my personal observations and opinions.Gerald BarkerFT Hood, TexasLast edited by barkerg on August 29th, 2013, 11:34 pm, edited 1 time in total.
