Basscats at Lawter & Associates “Last Bass” Tourney.

Last weekend Lawter & Associates held their annual “Last Bass” Tournament on Lake Eufaula in Oklahoma. I own a 07 Puma and I was proud not to be the only new Cat in the crowd. I saw several new Basscats at the meeting, weigh in and during the day. In the past, Basscats have been a little scarce in the OK area. I would bet, Ranger and Triton boat owners were twisting their necks to see what was rolling by everytime one of our new cats went by. (on and off the water). I was proud to be in my new Puma. Thanks Basscat for an awesome boat. By the way, their were 488 boats at this tournament. (at last count Saturday night). T. Moss, 2007 Puma – Mercury 250 ProXS Chickasha, OK

That is a big event! 488 is one of the larger, and Eufaula can handle that pressure.

There were 505 boats total and a ton of fish weighed. 1st and 2nd went to BassCat owners. So BCB was well represented! It was good to see. My partner has had a Cat up until last year. He bought a used Z21 and hates it. He will be back in a Puma in 08. I had a guy drolling all over my P4 after the weigh in. He will be another Cat owner soon. It is good to see more BassCats in Oklahoma. It is too good of a product not to have a solid presense in the State!!! Steve McLarty

I was there as well and had a new 08 Cougar there. I did recieve 1 boat order and waiting on 2 more that are confirmed. That area is waiting for more BCB presents. Everyone who looked at that Cougar had to sit in it, open all the boxes, look at the trailer and hull. It was like having the new toy at Christmas. This tourney is a well ran tourney and we enjoyed it very much. Everyone we met was very nice and freindly. We had a great time. Mike

I fished the Lawter for the 4th straight year and it keeps getting better. I was pre fishing on Friday and gave rides to 3 different people. They came over to look at the cowling and asked several guestions about the boat and I gave all 3 rides in it. I was very proud of the compliments i recieved on the storage and ride of my Puma. I loved it when my partner on Sunday said we would have gotten wet in his Skeeter had we went through the shoot in his baot and we got to Eufala cove just as dry as we started.

Hey Terry, I should have called. Sorry. I was prfishing Friday and that new 250 Pro XS decided to quit. But no worries when you have friends. I was offered a loaner to use Saturday and Sunday from Monte at A&M Bait Company. They were great. That was my first Lawter Tourney and I had a Blast. I will call you next year and we can meet up.
