I have a single axle trailer,when I back up and cut the trailer in the driveway the brakes lock up.It did not do this when I had the Nissan P athfinder,but since I just got the Titan it does?I know the truck is longer and its harder to manuver the trailer in the driveway cause my road is narrow but still it should not do that.I have to duct tape the metal piece that we have to keep the brakes off and sometimes it breaks the tape and I have to start over.Sometimes I wish I could just do away with the brakes but I have the boat for sale so thats out of the question for now.Does anyone else have this problem?

There will be a tesche, tesche, tesche as the wheels turn and the rotor contacts the pads. The pads float in the assembly and only rough pressure do they free up. Once the brakes are applied the pads are tensioned against the rotor again.

He back up signal may not be working to the fifth blue wire pin, and the solenoid could be faulty also. Itis either power to the trailer or the solenoid.

My ford required a fuse in the fuse panel. They did not install at dealership. look at towing guide

That would not apply to your trailer.

I had a titan and had the same issue. I needed two contacts from the dealer to activate the solenoid on the trailer. They mount in one of the fuse boxes under the hood. $60 or so for both contacts. Also, disassemble your 7 round connector on the trailer and make sure the blue wire is securely connected to the center pin. I had that issue too.

look in glove box or side pocket there should be a small packet with fuse in it. I dont have electric brakes on either of my trailers. Pull owners manual or go online to see which spot to place fuse. Should easily take care of problem or call dealership tomorrow. You cant back it up with out this fuse.
