Topic: Water in center box?

After camping this weekend, a decent rain came through and the next day water was in my center storage box closest to ice chest. Once I got home and pulled tackle out there is a small hole drilled close by the center seat pole that runs through. First is that hole suppose to be their and second ever thing looks tight and sealed on the top side of lid, so how else would water get in?

Latch or key whole? BCB will respond soon Im sure. I would like to know as well because I am looking at a PII myself.

The 2011 models do have a small hole drill leading into the drains on all boats. The mid 2010 and prior do not. The only leak can be from the top side and in 2010 BCB changed the thought process on being able to prevent all moisture from entering the boxes no matter how much they tried. Thus they continue to do the best they can there, and drilled a small outlet for draining if there were excess to get into the boxes. BCB Admin.

OK, well good to know the hole is suppose to be their. I will start some water test to see if I can find the entrance point because it was a lot of water should be easy to find.Thank You

Was wondering if it could be coming in from the center pole? I see it has a bezel around it but was unsure if they are sealed or not?

That should be sealed when the bezel was installed.

OK, so I started dumping water around the top of the box and found two places water is coming in. One is a pop rivet, it just needs some sealant but it was were most of the water was coming in. Also a little water coming in around the top of the center seat pole. Glad its not a big deal and thanks for all the help.
