Where to fish in Mississippi

My 14yo son and I are headed Friday to Dotties Marine in Tennessee to pick up my last BassCat (The 8th time I have said that). It is a 2014 PII w/ 200proXS. We want to fish somewhere in Mississippi as we head back home to Louisiana down I55. We will fish Ohkissa on Monday, but where would anyone suggest on Sunday? I know I pass Sardis, Enid, Calling Panther, Greneda, etc. Any suggestions and what/where to fish appreciated.

I fish Sardis, Enid and Grenada a few times a year each and I prefer Enid. The graph shows Enid at full pool currently so it should be fairly safe to run around there. One place I would avoid is Tunica Cutoff…the fishing there has been terrible in recent years IMO.

Sardis has a lot of standing dead timber and a lot more that you cant see. Most of it is in the lower end of the lake. Enid and Grenada will have some too.I would rank em 1. Enid, 2. Grenada and 3. Sardis but you can catch fish at all of them………sometimes.

Ive seen some 8lb and even 10lb pictures from Calling Panther. The 8lb was a buddy of mine, he caught it last week…. so I would def. consider it. BUTBe VERY VERY VERY VERY careful, I fished it not long after they opened it and theres a LOT LOT LOT of standing timber under water, sometimes not very much under the surface…So then again, I might be leary of putting a brand new fiberglass boat in it.Not sure if you can see it or not, but heres his picturehttps://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos- … 8000_n.jpg13 PIV w/ 200 MercIG: WarriorRiverCustomRods

I am looking for ideas on the best lakes in and around I-55 south as we head back home to fish. We need to be back in Baton Rouge for Monday, so that is why Okhissa on Monday. but for Saturday and Sunday, we are open if anyone knows the hot spots….. Thanks

Lake Washington. Lake Chicot in Ar. Eagle and Bee Lakes. All are cypress and been fishing well. Stay off the Mississippi River. Its dead.

Dotties is on Kentucky Lake and it would be hard for me to leave that. Carried my son last Saturday and we enjoyed a good early Buzzbait bite till around 9 when the sun got up. Then we had to work to catch them.
