Base price with 250 hp also with a 225 hp. How much saved and how much slower?2014 Puma FTD 250 XS

generally 5-7 mph slower. Savings is dependent upon how much you upgrade over just the motor and which package you think you need. Cougar Advantage Elite w/ 225 will be in the mid to upper 40s with a 250…………….lower to mid 50s. This will be a starting point and the dealer might have freight and make ready so its best to check with whomever you want to negotiate with.

My 08 AE 225 Pro XS rigged, 24v troller, pro air, upgraded electronics and wheels, etc,,, has been a great rig. And is more boat than most need. Maybe 5mph difference under a 250, but mine is strong, and they have to catch me to pass me ! The AE still carries all her fuel in the rear, so it runs and rides just a tad different than other BCB hulls, IMHO. I will order another to replace this one some day.

Dont know how much performance you want but my 2013 Cougar AE with a Mercury 225 Pro XS is hitting 75 MPH in the cooler water (72 MPH this weekend in 90+ degree heat). Thats with two guys and a full tournament load. Absolutely love it and passed several bigger boats on Sundays take off. Actually out ran one guy headed to my spot (the spot turned out to be a bust but that is beside the point). He got so discouraged he finally backed off and gave up, first time I have been on the winning end of that deal.
