Little Rock Pool in November

Guys, I have a couple days in early November that I need to spend on the Little Rock pool preparing for a ride-along. I am really hoping the flow is down and the color clears up, if that happens, I suspect the fish will really turn on out on the main river. I am looking for a little intel on some of the backwater areas just in the Little Rock pool – particularly Fouche Creek and the south end of the pool. If you dont mind forking over a suggestion, let me know. Thanks, John

Hey Gould, how about throwing this guy a bone. Maybe a potential customer at Fish n Stuff? By the way, those working at Fish n Stuff would probably be able to help you out as well. Great tackle store with a lot nice tackle. You need to visit. Located north of Little Rock about 10 miles.

Hey John, Phil is right…can stop by Fish n Stuff and pick up some info. They are at the Wildwood Ave exit off 67/167 hwy to Sherwood/Jacksonville. Willow Beach is one good area at times. Down on the left(north) side of the river past the I440 bridge. You will need to find the entrance marked with the yellow signs on the tall jetty posts, as there is a VERY shallow jetty that runs the length to the entrance. Once inside there are shallow bars but also some good cuts with roots/brush and some current. Just have to be careful. LR “slackwater harbor” is on opposite side, just a long “7” shape with brush/ moss/ and shelves. No current but can be rewarding with the 3-5lb bass. Good luck! Thanks guys, I will check in with the fellows at Fish n Stuff. Ken and Larry over at H20 have been helpful as well. I will take a look at WB as Alan suggests.John

Three words,,,,,,Main river rocks. Usually this time of year the bass are gorging on shad, and they congregate along the jetties and revetments on the main river. You can have good days on backwater when there is no flow at all, but for the most part id stick with the main river and creekmouths/cuts. D.

Obviously…the rock jetties. Backwater info is my “Plan B” for this time of year. John, any idea where you are launching from? There are a lot of rocks between Alltel ramp and WB.96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner

John- Your lovely wife is going to let you go? When I met her she said she was gonna shut you down for good. I told her I fish like 4 days a week and tried to buy you some more time. Yall John is a heckuva fisherman despite his occupation- he doesnt need any help! My advice….dont do what I would do! And thats go to pool 7!C.O.D. Jr. III

Ward – Carolyn is letting me out for good behavior. Actually, she is great considering she is about 26 weeks now. She told me that she wants the same deal you have w/ yours. I think I will stick with D and Alans suggestions and stick it out on the main river. We will launch out of Alltel I am certain. I think I will stick with a jig and a Bandit on the rock. I just have this little spot up Little Maumelle River that holds a few toads, so it is hard to avoid at least looking.Thanks for the input guys.John
