Sorry, not being political, but long overdue. Its a shame our world has come to this, and having to fight evil one terrorist at a time. Next ?
Reports are US troops have the body. Great news. NY will party tomorrow.
Cant wait to hear how they gathered up the body. Of course we may never know the details and for security reasons, though sure would like to!
Unfortunately we will never really know the truth. We never have. But at least justice was served. Its just a shame that so much was lost in order to get him.
While it has been costly, it also serves notice to the world the U.S. will seek justice no matter how long it takes, it is the spirit of the American people. Kudos(begrudgingly) to the President for taking the time to personally call President Bush and let him know.Justice has been served…….96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
I doubt you will see bin laden. You dont want a grave for people to visit and martyr; no brutal photos to antagonize; nothing to gather support for his cause. How to deal with his death was discussed for years. This is how it has to be.
During OBAMAS speech, he said ” today I authorized the agents to kill OSAMA”, I then looked at CMBC and they posted that he was killed a week ago and waited for DNA report to announce- I think that was a political speech- cant help it. Sounds like he was the last to know, the effort to kill Osama has been on going for quite a while and ws not started on his watch!!Last edited by SAMRUSH on May 2nd, 2011, 5:04 pm, edited 2 times in total.BAYOU BANDIT
That the reason General Petraeus was reassigned?Interesting time frame.
You just know that Obama will take credit and attempt to ride this to his re-election. The media is having organisms over his splendid leadership and decision making skills in leading this to an end. They really seem to forget the skill of our military leadership and Seal Team 6 who executed the mission: not that clown in the White House. I hope I did not offend any of you who may like the guy; if so, tough!
Im not a Obama backer BUT- only one person makes this decision- and thats the president. It may not have started on his watch but HIS decision was needed to take out bin laden. A tough decision and he made it. Respect the office if you cant respect the man.
As long as everyone knows were not done. The long war is still ahead of us. Good on the POTUS for making a good call, but this is not even close to the end. Remember how long we remained in Iraq in force after December of 2003. This is a victory in a battle, but is not going to bring about any sort of armistice. Oh, and some stories are unfortunately sometimes better left untold. It is a good one though.- Chaz
I like Obama now, he sends out death squads.
The original information was received through “torture”. Obama ended this practice. The only thing Obama could take credit for is agreeing to let the military to carry out the attack. The rest of the credit should go to the military and CIA. There were an awful lot of Is, mes, and mys in his speech.
Im more than Happy that they got Osama!!! That being said it took too long, We lost too many innocent people in the process, and unfortunately Obama is quickly going to make this a political stance that HE did this and HE did that, when in fact HE did nothing but give the final go ahead. Dont be fooled though. Any President we have Ever had or will ever have would do the same thing, regardless of His political party. I mean nothing positive or negative towards Obama in this post. So long as we the American people are of sound mind enough to remember Who is really responsible for this accomplishment. The thousands and thousands of soldiers that have suffered in the hell we know as the middle east over the last 10 years were the ones that deserve the credit. Those soldiers families who sat at home wondering night in and night out if their loved ones would make it back safely are the ones that deserve the credit. Just dont forget!!! Thankfully, Most that visit here are very aware of the sacrifices our Military personnel make day in and day out to ensure we can do the things we love in a free country and then complain about like we are completely oblivious to the trials and tribulations in the world today. What Im trying to say is THANK YOU TO OUR MILITARY FORCES OF ALL BRANCHES! For what you do day in and day out. Although It is the seemingly big accomplishments that get all of the head lines, what You guys and gals do each and every day is what makes these big headlines possible.
