Well I finally did it. Ordered a new Bay Cat. Boys both have their boats now, and this ones for me and mama. Phil along with Pops and John Jr. at Bowden Marine have dissowned me cause I decided at the last minute to go with a non black motor. Least William and Mike and Jeff still talk to me. Details and pics of the boat to follow a little later but I will say that I put a 250 HO on the transom. This boat is going to be sweet. I climbed all over and under the one at the show and am really impressed. The 16 and 18 foot Bay Skiffs are terrific but, the Bay Cat is the Grand Daddy. If you guys get a chance you really should check this line up of boats out. The versitility of these boats is tremendous and with the non skid surfaces they will be easy to maintain and clean. Well enough for now, just wanted to let you guys and gals know. Now the hard part begins, the wait. Joe Murray
Congrats Joe that is AWESOME!!! I cant wait to see pictures. Judd Lasiter
Those two boys of yours might want to keep the garage locked and hide the keys from you. Youll be trying to swap out engines in no time while theyre not looking! Good luck with the Evinrude. Youll need it. Almost forgot…………………….when Jeff breaks out the service manual on that Evinrude, start praying!

He is suppose to be in school, but he told me that he is afraid to FLY! My response was since I do that for a living was to “GET IN, SIT DOWN, SHUT UP, and HOLD ON”. Order a drink if you want…… Heres hoping hes getting schooled! GeorgeGeorge
Joe,,,,,,Good luck. With those boys ribbin you all the time, and P.A. ,,,you dont stand a chance ! Personally, if i were you, id kick the boys out, and hide the keys to the big boat, they will all be wanting to borrow youre ride now when the wind blows ! D.
You are gonna love that service manual for your 2009 250 HO, heres why, NO break in, NO winter monkey business, check your lower unit fluid in the fall if you do that stuff down there, and add gas and oil for 3 years, thats it,then after 3 yrs or 300 hours, fuel filter,EMM scan, lower unit fluid, spark plugs, and poof, 3 more years…..I honestly feel that the 250 Ho will rock on that hull, we all drove the one at the meeting with a 250 series 2, that sucker went good, like 71 on gps I believe……Did you do a white one or blue??? what colors on boat??? great job ordering beyond the status quo, way to be different……Your Signature …
It is blue and the boat is trimmed to match it. BCB
Sorry Guys, just got home from work. Thanks Judd, cant wait to pick that baby up. George, I hope Jeffs at school. No tellin bout that cat, away from mama, expenses paid, do tha math!! All kiddin aside, Willie and Jeff are two of the best techs around. D, how you been, Ive been a little busy as of late and havent been home much. Glad to hear from you. We were all joking around the other night and Tony said he and Phil were gonna fish the Redfish Cup out of the Bay Cat. I took care of that with the motor cause we all KNOW PA aint fishin out of no boat with a Rude on it. bworner, Im hopin that all goes as planned and advertised, in time we will see. Ive always had good luck with Mercurys in the past and honestly had planned to put a Merc on this boat. Changed my mind at the last minute. Even changed colors at the last minute, Sorry Ivan. But, I am happy with my decision. I have heard a lot of good things about the Etecs, so as I said, We will see. As for the colors, as BCB said, I got a blue motor. The boat colors are Wimbelton White Cap, Hull, Boot, Starlight Blue Bolt, Red Black trim. Seats are Marble, Navy, Flame. Thats a big boat, if I get mid to upper 60s, Ill be happy. Thanks for the compliments, will post pics when I get some, Joe
