Well I finally had some time to mount my Sherms dash mount for my HDS8.I had this unit mounted on the rail with a 2.25in.Ram mount.It did the job until I mounted the unit on the dash.This is a very nice piece that looks very much like it was a factory item.Anyone looking to put there 8″ graph on the dash should give Sherm a call.I think it looks great and is rock solid.Thanks again Sherm,Tim Last edited by fishn4bass on August 22nd, 2011, 1:28 am, edited 2 times in total.

Cant seem to get the full size image to load from my photo album,keep gettimg a red X.Anyone know what the problem may be?

This is my 898si on a PII with Sherms mount, He installed it when I picked up my boat. I think its great.Steve

Thanks Guys…I custom build each one for the boat its going on and for the graph thats going to be mounted and also the hole to be covered if there is one..I build versions for the Sabre FTD/PII/Cougar AE style dash and I build versions for the 2010 & prior Cougar FTD/Puma Style dash then I build them for the application.. I even make the decals here that I put on them so that to is custom by color and style… I sell them for $95 & $110. delivered to your door so incl. shipping… Remember each is custom built for you so it takes me a few days as I build them along with everything else I do here at the dealership this time of year.. Got one for my Puma. Its nice. Clean install.It was not ” $75-$85.00″ It was $110.Mine required drilling to match the gimbal mount for my hds7 touch to the mounting pad on the Sherms mount. Probably just a mistake. Not a big deal. Like the looks of it.

It will fit without a mount. I know this is an old thread and you have a Sabre but it will fit in a PIV/Puma old style dash. Here is my 997 Bird in a PIV.

Jon Im sorry you had to re drill for your mount to fit..I dont have any touch gimbal mounts yet and they must be different as I guessed and used a HDS 8 gimbal mount as my pattern. The HDS 7,8 & 10 holes all match up..I guess they decided to make the Touch mount a different hole pattern or something
