Does this mean if you purchase a boat before April 13th you will have 7 yrs of warranty? If Mercury is giving you 5 or 3 yrs now and BassCat 2 yrs extra.

I dont think so guys, 3years is Standard, Im sure BCB is giving you the 2yr gold Protection for free….Upgrade to the Platinum coverage for a coupple 100$$$$ it covers all electrical components for a full 5yrs….

I jus going by what my dealer told me, they said mercury 5 an basscat was putting 2 on. I may have been told wrong.

What ever warranty you have from a Mercury dealership, BCB Is adding two (2) years once the promotion is over and all qualified product is delivered. The standard Mercury Warranty at this time is 3 years and some dealers have the availability to offer two (2) more. We are not able to determine the warranty situations for each of your dealerships. We are addign two (2) years of Gold to whatever you have after it leaves your dealership, up to 7 years. BCB

Ok, I purchase my boat from a private owner. My motor still have warrently until 7/14. I posted a question on the mercury board with my motors number. They told me that I waited to late to get the extended warrantly. So my question is – Can anybody answer why can 2nd boater owners with Mercury motror cant take advantage of this offer?

The promotion started January 1st. The reason Mercury only extends the warranty option to the original is that was their customer, through their dealerships. You are the customer of the original owner, unless you purchase some other product. This is just the way their program and many more extended warranty programs function. We believe that a Mercury dealership may be able to offer the extended warranty if they sell it. Though we are not sure on that.

Mercury factory warranty is still 3 yrs. many dealers such as myself are offering 2 yrs. of Free MPP GOLD and I along with most recommend upgrading the Gold to MPP Platinum for a much better coverage at a very reasonable cost.Then BCB is offering the 2 yr.warranty promo also so…3yr Factory+2yr. Dealer+2 yr. BCB For a total of a 7 yr. warranty..Ok for the next Q… Mercury Product Protection must be purchased within original factory warranty period of 3 Yrs. from original date registered and 7 years is the max available from MPP..Being a second owner does not effect the ability of adding warranty as long as motor is less than 3 yrs. and still under original warranty and has been registered/transfered to the 2nd owner
