My 2014 Puma came with a 101 fortex . In between all of the red leads of my 36 volt battery system are 50 amp breakers . Paperwork shows 60 amp breaker recommend . Does BassCat sell 60 amps ? On BassCat web store they only show 50 amps the biggest they sell . Anyone update and what did u do ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

One would hope you never exceed 50 amps . — If you do , theres something wrong with the motor , or youre trying to chop through some SERIOUS vegetation .—- Ive had my M/K 101 seriously bound up in water hyacinth multiple times and never tripped breakers . — Built-in safety factor actually . — Just my humble opinion . — Hoss

I called BassCat , they have a single 60 amp buss like the main breaker . I forgot to write in the description I upgraded to a 112 ultrex from the 101 fortex . Max amp 52 , where as my 101 max amps was only 42. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My 14 puma also came with a 101. I switched to the 112 ultrex and haven’t had any trouble with the 50 amp breakers

The only motor I have seen that will blow a 50 amp breaker is the 24v 80# minn-kota. I replaced my 50 with a 60 to stop the constant tripping when running wide open, and have actually tripped the 60 once or twice in the past year… But for a 36v motor, if you pull 50 amps, something is wrong. Thats the benefit of running 36v. Less current needed, which results in less parasitic loss in the cables from battery to T.M.watts = volts * amps. 36 * 50 =1800. 1 HP is 746 watts if memory is right. That would be a heck of a big T.M. 2.5HP?
