Only a few of you might have known the guy, but wanted to pass it along. He was a fishing buddy of mine, he was my partner at the SEBCOG event back in November on Guntersville. He just had surgery a cpl days ago, for some ongoing medical issues. He was a regular on the BassBoat Central website, thats how we met, and he had just posted on there last night. Unfortunately he passed away during the night, unsure as to why at this time. He loved BassCats, he had never fished out of one till mine, and he dreamed of owning one, in fact was always saying that if I was to sell mine in a cpl years that he wanted to buy it. He had a blast at SEBCOG, meeting everyone there, especially Rick P…he was so “impressed with Ricks knowledge and how he ran the company” as he told me. Mike had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. I am going to contact his wife to see if there is anything we can do to help out. Please keep his family in your prayers. Thanks. Kelly. this is sad news and even more so during this time of year. Please assure Mikes family that they are in our thoughts and prayers. My brother and I enjoyed meeting and talking with Mike at SEBCOG. Thank you for making us aware of this loss. Thoughts and prayers. Mike TadlockJmtfrisco, Texas
We are very sorry to hear of Mikes passing. He obviously was dealt a difficult hand in a part of his life, and seemed to be making the best of it. I am glad to have had the opportunity to have met him. His family will be in our prayers as we enter the holiday season. It is always a difficult time to loose a loved one. Rick
What a sad and unexpected ordeal. I am so sorry for his family and friends and we will be praying for you all.
I met Mike for the first time at SEBCOG. I had conversed with him several times via BassBoatCentral. Kelly was right…Mike loved BassCats, he loved Kellys boat and talked with me a lot both at SEBCOG and on the BBC about my Cat. He was a great guy. He will be missed. Prayers and thoughts go to his family and friends.
Kelly, Sorry for you and your friends family. I also met Mike at SEBCOG event also. It is very tough to deal with anytime you lose a loved one but especially this time of year. This my first Christmas with out my mother. If you have not experienced, you just dont know how difficult it is to deal with. Best advise I received, Prayer and keeping busy. I will be thinking about you and Mikes family. Mackey Miles
I have the arrangements for his services if anyone is interested….. Friday, Dec 28 6P-8P “Tribute” Bingham Hall @ St. Peters Episcopal Church in Talladega AL (kind of like a viewing.except no body to see, Mike wanted to be cremated so maybe his ashes will be there, maybe not.) Its a time for family and friends to gather to support each other/visit. Saturday, Dec 29 10:30 AM Service at the church. If you can make it I am sure the family would appreciate it. If not they understand. Thanks, Kelly White
No, I did not know your friend, I am sorry for the loss to you and his family. Good Luck, Chuck
Kelly I am so sorry to hear about Mike. I did not know he had health issues. My son and I really enjoyed him at the event in November. He sat next to me at the dinner that night and gave me the impression that he never met a stranger. Our prayers are out to the family.
