Just returned from a trip to Ontario. This is my 7th trip to Eagle lake, but first one with the Bass Cat Cougar. The boat performed flawlessly, cant believe how it eats big water. My buddy kept commenting how he was impressed with the ride, especially when there was some chop or bigger waves. Did have one situation that probably wasnt the boats fault, probably the inexperienced drivers fault (me). We started with a bay maybe a mile from the lodge that morning. Wind was not bad on the way there, but really was blowing on the way back. I basically had to navigate thru 3-4 footers that were coming sideways from our right. So needless to say that was an “underwear soak er”. I tried to turn into a few, but there is enough reefs I kinda had a narrow passageway, so was limited on that issue. So also found out the bilge pump works well also . I might need some boat driving lessons from Ivan !!??!!Caught 150 smallies in 3 1/2 days, and two accidents, one 38″, and one 46″ muskie. It was a great trip, and the fellow with me has his eye on a Bass Cat when he gets ready to buy.
