Anyone know what material the dust cover is made from. Can it be used to trailer occasionally? I plan to use it on my cat while on the hoist on a covered dock.Thanks, LOZman

It will work great for that! Though it will not breathe, so you need to air out the rig occasionally to prevent mold and mildew. BCB

so is it rugged enough to trailer with alot? i am looking for a customer fit cover to trailer with only…not to cover for extended periods of time. i just dont want to fork out the high price for a deans or aurora just to be used as a trailering only cover.

The material is a miscellaneous bulk purchase and it is a coated sealed material with a pelon style or felt backing.

It will hold up for several thousand miles handled properly.

I trailered with mine well over 1000 miles at about 1 1/2 years time and it held up fine. At $175 its hard to beat. Like BCB said, you will need to maintain it properly, tie downs and sharp edges……
