Topic: Aerator, Recirc, and Lights fault on gauge

2002 Pantera 3, as soon as I flip the power switch at the console I get 3 “Faults” on my gauges for aerator, recirc, and lights. Everything works however but the recirc. Any idea whats going on or how I can clear the faults? Maybe the recirc pump went out, but the rest is a wiring issue?

They show a fault when there is no load on the pumps because they have low power amp drain. Those faults also start before the pumps fail and it is an indication of wearing parts. They should not show a fault under a load. Try a new cartridge if they show fault in the water under power.

I filled the live wells with water and ran the aer pump, it works fine but it still has the fault. When I try the rec nothing happens, its dead. I will try new cartridges. What about the lights? They work fine, but still show fault when they are on.

It will require both bow and stern lights, plus if any dash lights are out they also could effect it. It could be as simple as a failing BP 2000 also. Though that is always the last place we look. Check the terminal lock on the transom and all of the grounds coming from that and all connections.

Im sure this is a dumb question, but I see the recirc pump that isnt working is a Mayfair 28701. Are the replacement cartidges universal?http://www.basspro.com/Bilge-Pumps-Repl … T#desc-tab
