You looking for a lock for the trailor, while the trailor is detached from the truck, or while its hooked up?
Mainly when hooked to my truck. But will be used as both.2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury

I bought a pair of master padlocks (one key fits both) and I put both locks on while towing and when parked in yard. They just fit through holes and are pretty thick/strong. I use two because the idea is to make it a lot of work to get them off and take a lot of time which means someone is more likely to notice and call police. I also never leave the adaptor/wire extension with boat (older model before the newer plugs came out) so they wont have lights or be able to back up unless then bring a set with them.

I agree with you 100 percent. Anytime we lock our belongings its just a deterrent. If a theif wants it they will get it! My bother in law got his camper stolen awhile back. Look this camper was set up with the tires and wheels off of it. The scoundrels still got it!. Anyhow got me to thinking about locks. The one bcb sells looks somewat bolt cutter proof. Some of the pin type Ive seen looks like a good pry bar and its off!. Thanks for the ideals guys.2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury
Another thing I do is after putting the Aurora cover on with the nice “Bass Cat” display on the side is throw a plastic tarp over it so it doesnt so much look like a bass boat, just another power boat in the yard. The silver tarp also helps reflect sun off black Aurora cover so the inside doesnt cook as bad.
This is a motion sensor lock we really like. It is a custom thinned shaft for use on the UFP couplers. http://www.basscatstore.com/thmarinesoniclock.aspxThen you have this option that is the normal method. http://www.basscatstore.com/couplerlock-universal.aspx
Ive been using the latter of the above two. Only thing I dont particularly like is the “screw in” locking process. Ive tried a pin-type coupler lock but they seem ridiculously weak, and a small pryer under the tongue will break them easily. Looks neat, works – not so well.I had thought about a 5/16″ shaft normal padlock, but with todays batteries and portable dremel tools, not sure that exposed part could survive an attempt with a Dremel. The one BassCat listed is harder to cut through since it is shielded. This is like the bear-hunting story. You dont have to outrun the bear when he comes after you, you just have to outrun the slowest person in your hunting party. Here, you simply dont want to be the easiest trailer to steal. 2008 Pantera Classic2014 Mercury Pro XS 200
