Guys, New 07 PII. This morning when putting in the nav lights I get a buzzing alarm type sound from the dash. It seems as though there is a short in the system somewhere. When I turn the lights off it stops so I am sure its the lights. I will probably bring it to the shop if I cant find it and let them fix it under warranty. Any suggestions on where to look first. Cant remember if it made the sound with both lights on or just one. Any suggestions on where to start would be appreciated.

Try taking them out one at a time and see which one has the short in it. Once you find out which one it is, it should be easy to see whats causing the problem.

Pop the lights out, and diagnose them first, then try the switches with no lights, then one light at a time front to rear. Check the front navigation light switch also to see that it is off and functioning. Then call for HELP! Go see Ronnie and Mitch at Waymack, or contact Service! BCB

Looked under the dash and found two wires that were causing the ground. I previously asked you guys about bulbs for my speedo. Well it turns out I wont be needing any! When Waymack installed my GPS they zip tied the wires to the existing harness. This pulled on the terminal connectors that go to the speedo lights. They had came unplugged and were grounding out on the mounting hardware for the speedo. Quick fix. Just plugged the wires where they should be and away we go! Thanks for your help and glad it was simple.
