You need to take the faceplate off the HDS, its on tight but it will pop off. Under the faceplate you will see 4 screws that screw it directly to the dash, remove those screws slide the HDS 8 out, install the new one and replace the screws, i would assume they have the same dimensions, if not you may need to do a little work with a dremel/grinder.
