2007 Puma with a Mercury 225 Pro XS, Sears platinum AGM. Saturday morning I went out to the lake to check boat out, put it in the water fired up the boat and went out probably 5-7 miles at which time I shut her down and checked all pumps, graphs, talons, and lights. Hopped back in the drives seat and motor wouldnt start, so I proceeded to get on the trolled to take her back in. Got the battery out on Sunday and tried to take it back to sears to get money back or replacement that they no longer carry. They put it on the tester and said it was good and they cant do anything for me. So I argued with them for a bit and gave up, thinking maybe it just wasnt charged all the way up. Installed battery back in the boat and plugged in the charger, yesterday morning all lights green on charger, so I disconnected and fired it up, started with no problem. Left for work with charger unplugged, after a 10 hr workday went home and tried to start her up again and it just turned over like it wasnt getting enough juice to start. So I hooked her up to the truck and took her back to Sears with the same outcome so I went and bought a new starting battery. I installed new battery and it fired right up. I checked my ohms on all of my positive wires and my main cable looking for a short, the only one showing any ohms was my main cable and it was about 24 ohms. Is this normal or do I have a problem with something in the motor, starter, alternator, or something else? Just wondering because battery tests good and I obviously have an issue, hoping it was just the battery. Sorry so long winded
