Having some trouble with the in-dash Lowrance 332 on my 2006 P4. It will work fine for a day, then the next day it will turn itself on and off as the day progresses. I suspected that perhaps it was a bad cranking battery (even though its only one year old), but a Lowrance tech at Smith Mtn. Lake suggested that it might be the in-line fuse — he said it is a common problem that over time the fuses connections start to weaken. When I got home, I checked in the bilge compartment and there is an in-line fuse near the cranking battery. I assume this is the one I need to check/fix/replace? It is shrink-wrapped. Is the proper procedure to cut off the shrink wrapping, open up the fuse, stretch out the springs in the fuse and rough up the ends a bit to ensure a good connection? Or is there something else I need to do? Assuming that is what I should do, do I need to re-shrink wrap the fuse (after ensuring that it works now) or can I leave it exposed? Would liquid electrical tape be better? Thanks, Pete
