im still new to fishing rivers and i was just wondering what is the best way to go about finding underwater sandbars and what to look for on my map or graph. thanks

Ohhh? Stay in the river channel and away from inside bends on down river sides. They trail into the outside bend on the down river side toward the bank outside the river channel also. It all depends on the amount of flow and location as well as river material being sand or mud.

Its ez. Drive river. Look for sand sticking up OUT of water. Find hole(if its exists) next to it. Fish.C.O.D. Jr. III

Now on this one brotha the chicken was tryin to save you! As soon as all the rats that live on the jetties realize thats how YOU find good holes Im gonna have nothing to fish alone out there-If it had been me only to give fishing advice obviously NO ONE would have listened….Dude im tryin here! Well since the cat is running around the room having shot out of the bag like a missle….For the record ol kpink spilled the beans on this in bassmaster a few years back and i didnt miss that tip….now which lure is another lesson!Last edited by clownshoes on July 31st, 2011, 11:57 pm, edited 1 time in total.C.O.D. ive been searching all day trying to find an article like that and as far as the lure goes i noticed ol k pink had some crankbaits on his website that looked like they might do the job
