Use a good 3M silicone David and you will be fine. I started to answer earlier but I thought you were asking what was used and not what would work I dont know what they use but the silicone will work. You know the bite is good when you get broken two different times from some toad inhaling the bar fish that you have on right at the boat. The Cougar FTD is awesome. Yesterday was my first day to fish out of it. Thankfully it catches fish. Have a great Christmas. David
