I have the navionics hotmap south on my LMS 480. I cant say Im too impressed. The borders for the outline of the lake are very hard to see especially compared to previous map system (I think called global map US). The 1 foot contour lines I thought would be very useful, but I find that you have to zoom in so much to see them generated on the map that Im not able to put them into context with the surrounding area. I didnt find it very useful either while driving as the depths are hard to see. I liked the app they made for the iPhone better as Im actually able to see a larger area with the 1 foot contour lines, but still small (I would love to see a full paper map of entire lake drawn with 1 foot lines). I heard that next spring there is something coming out for the computer system which might allow a larger viewing area while showing more detail.
